Sullivan Swift: The Viral Spiral is a Detective Comedy YA graphic novel pitch I made as my senior project and am currently seeking representation for.
The story follows high school senior Sullivan Swift as he tries to grow his true crime youtube channel while solving a decades old mystery at his new high school. He must navigate not only the dangers of uncovering old secrets, but the put falls of influencer culture that will try his morals and test his friendships.
The detective subgenre of mystery is one I have been fascinated with, especially the nature of the detective to evolve over time depending on contemporary concerns and practices. I wanted to take the detective into the modern age and explore the ups and downs of discussion around the booming subject of true crime in media.
